It has frames, pixels, colour, iconography. This is really great work by -roosevelt-, based on Susan Kare's old Mac icons.

I attempted this Nathan Barley-esk video shot to try and demonstrate the wind conditions on the assent to Whernside, the second of the three peaks, on the 'Yorkshire Three Peaks Challlenge'. We finished the 24 mile walk in 11.5 hours, 30 minutes under the 12 hour challenge time. #WIN

NOTE: I think posterous is trying to be clever and embed the clip, but embedding is not enabled on You Tube for this video. Here is the raw link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=453WwR

I just spotted this piece of frickin awesome on my Google Photo Screen Saver. It seemed rather fitting after a most excellent bank holiday weekend spent with my son (Chester, 6 yr old), continuing the Star Wars induction. We watched 'Empire Strikes Back', which at times was too dark and hard for him to absorb. I was then taken back (bordering on mortified) when he specified he wanted to skip 'Return of the Jedi' in favor of 'The Phantom Menace'. Dam you Jaja Binks.
Chester quickly grasped the significant weakness of the Battle Droids, "They are rubbish". He will learn their demise on Naboo only fueled the republics thirst for a superior army.
I continue to re-live my childhood and the 80's with great success. Already we have totally covered:
* Transformers
* Thundercats
* BMX Bandits
* Dark Crystal
* Labyrinth
* Never Ending Story
* Karate Kid
* A Team
* Knight Rider
* and many more...
Thank you Allen Clark (links below) for brightening the day.

I have been using Google Latitude for a while now, and although a little creepy, I love it. I have Google Maps version 3.0.1 installed on my BlackBerry (which is constantly pinging my location via GPRS) and the Goggle Latitude widget on my iGoogle.
On a personal level it can appear to be a little 'Big Brother' ish. But the business potentials are huge and the quirky potentials are vast as demonstrated here in this video. I thought of suggesting a similar experiment for one of our local digital/ social meet ups (http://www.northerndigitals.com/ or http://geekup.org/) here in Manchester, UK.
